Foundation Degree in Person-centred Counselling and Psychology
Marian is delighted to be studying part-time at Warwick University’s Centre for Lifelong Learning. She is working towards a Foundation Degree in Person-centred Counselling and Psychology, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As well as gaining an understanding of the underlying philosophy and theories of the person centred approach, she is finding out how to apply theory in practice and developing a deeper awareness of her own attitudes and behaviour.
The big message received so far is that through honest, empathic and accepting relationships, people can find within themselves the ability to use those relationships to develop and grow.
With supportive tutors and fellow students, it’s a wonderful way to learn, providing a challenge and an opportunity to make more of difference to others.
